Blaze 13U Finishes as MSBL Regular Season and Tournament Champions

Team Had a Record of 23-1 in MSBL Play

The 13U Glenview Blaze team finished its season last week by winning the Midwest Suburban Baseball League's (MSBL) end-of-season tournament.  The Blaze was also the regular season champion of the MSBL’s top conference, which consisted of 30 teams from Chicago and the North and Northwest suburbs.  The team finished its season with a record of 41-8-1, one of the best in Blaze history.  Blaze players contributing to the team’s success were Zander Buchan, Jack DiSano, Jackson Hill, Blake Lidskin, Nick Martinelli, Greg Neppl, Scott Newman, Quinn Nimesheim, Kyle Odeshoo, Andrew Randazzo, Mike Regan and Sam Stefani.  The team was managed by T.J. McManus with support from coaches Jim McManus and Mike Regan.  Throughout the season, the team competed in national tournaments in Omaha and Indianapolis, advancing to the top elimination bracket in both tournaments, and it finished as runner-up in the Salute to The Troops Memorial Day Tournament in Glenview.
