Before heading to Cooperstown, the 12U Glenview Blaze team finished its season last week by winning the Midwest Suburban Baseball League's (MSBL) end-of-season tournament.  The Blaze was also the regular season champion of the MSBL’s A Division, which consisted of 19 teams from Chicago and the North and Northwest suburbs.  Blaze players contributing to the team’s success were Chad Aquino, Jason Ban, John Gemignani, Charley Gottfred, Hank Leahy, Patrick Loftus, Luke Marino, John McCormick, Jason Schroeder, Matthew Shin, Charlie Steil, and Owen Weisensel.  The team was managed by Herve Mompoint with support from coaches Jules Aquino and Tony Gemignani.
